All Schools To Reopen October 5th 2020, Except 0 - 5 Years Pupils - Ebonyi State Govt

 

Onyebuchi Chima, the commissioner for education of the Ebonyi State Government has announced the reopening of schools in the state from October 5, 2020, with the exception of 0-5 years pupils in the nursery and crèche classes.
 

The resumption will be for the primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education as academic activities will be ‘staggered’ according to the recommendation by the ministry of education, Onyebuchi explained.

Chima remarked that when schools resume, there will be morning and afternoon sessions, with the morning sessions starting from 8 a.m to 12 p.m while the afternoon sessions will begin from 12.15 p.m to 4.15 p.m.

"The junior primary section 1-3 and junior secondary 1-3 classes will have their classes in the morning, while the senior primary section 4-6 and senior secondary 1-3 classes will run in the afternoon.


The first two to three weeks of academic resumption will be dedicated to intensive studies to enable them to conclude the remaining programmes of the 2019/2020 academic session.


A mini-promotional examination will be conducted to enable schools to move fully into the 2020/2021 academic session". -
