"I Prefer Nigerian Students Lose An Academic Year..." - Minister Of Education


Just when the Federal government of Nigeria recently announced the resumption of examination classes for the upcoming West African Senior School Certificate Examinations earlier scheduled for August 4 to September 5, It had thereby been put on hold.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, disclosed this information to State House Correspondents at the end of a meeting of the Federal Executive Council hosted by President Buhari, Punch reported.


Punch further reported that the minister said schools will remain closed until it is safe to reopen them. He also said that he would prefer that Nigerian students lose an academic year than to expose them to the corona virus pandemic and health dangers.
